170 Bangladeshis Return Home from Libya

From the Ganfuda Detention Centre in Benghazi, Libya, 170 Bangladeshis have returned to their home country. They arrived on Tuesday (18 November) via a Burak Airlines flight.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these Bangladeshis were repatriated with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). They had been detained at the Ganfuda Detention Centre and were safely repatriated through IOM support.

It is noted that for the safe repatriation of Bangladeshi citizens held in various detention centres across Libya, the Bangladesh Embassy, local Libyan authorities, and the IOM are working closely together.
