Rashmika Mandanna had an extraordinary end to last year with the release of Pushpa 2. But 2025 has been just as impressive for her. This year, she has appeared in five films, with two of them being massive hits. As a result, Rashmika has emerged as the undisputed queen of the Indian box office in 2025.
Rashmika’s first film of 2025, Chhaba, released on February 14th. Directed by Lakshman Utekar, this historical action film saw Rashmika paired with Vicky Kaushal. The film performed spectacularly well at the box office, earning ₹800 Crore. This made Chhaba the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, surpassing even Kantara: Chapter 1.
Next, on March 30th, came Sikandar, a film directed by A.R. Murugadoss. In this film, Rashmika starred opposite Salman Khan for the first time. Although the film did not make a significant impact at the box office, it earned ₹176 Crore.
Rashmika then returned to her roots in southern cinema, starring in the Tamil-Telugu film Kubera, directed by Shekhar Kammula. Released on June 20th, the film did reasonably well, grossing ₹115 Crore.
On October 21st, Thama, a horror-comedy film from Madk Films, hit the theatres. Rashmika was paired with Ayushmann Khurrana, and the film has so far earned ₹168 Crore.
Finally, on November 7th, Rashmika starred in the Tamil film The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran. In its first week, the film grossed almost ₹50 Crore.
