An arson attack executed by unidentified miscreants has severely damaged a local Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) office in Kaliganj upazila, located under the administrative jurisdiction of the Satkhira district. Following the destructive incident, territorial law enforcement personnel successfully recovered two unexploded crude bombs, locally referred to as cocktails, from the immediate perimeter of the targeted facility on Saturday morning, 20 June 2026. The targeted political establishment is situated within the Dudli village sector, falling under the local governance of the Mathurespur Union in Kaliganj upazila. The physical damage was initially discovered by local opposition party activists and grassroots members when they arrived at the premises on Saturday morning to conduct routine organisational tasks. Upon entry, the political workers observed extensive charring and destruction across the interior structure of the facility.

During a subsequent immediate inspection of the outer perimeter, the assembled BNP members discovered two intact, unexploded crude explosive devices left abandoned on the ground directly in front of the office entrance.
