Three triplet siblings have created an extraordinary milestone in the Sakhipur upazila of Tangail by securing talent-pool scholarships in the primary scholarship examinations. The rare and remarkable achievement of the two brothers and their sister has brought immense joy and pride to their family, teachers, classmates, and the local community.
The 12-year-old triplets have been identified as Fatema Akter Shemy, Anas Al Mamun, and Arafat Al Mamun. They are the children of Shamim and Arjina Akter, residents of the Uttara Mor area within the Sakhipur municipality. Their mother, Arjina Akter, works as an assistant teacher at the Ghateshwari Government Primary School, meaning the household has always maintained a strong focus on education.
The siblings sat for the primary scholarship examinations under the 2025 academic session as students of Baheratail Government Primary School. When the official results were declared, it was revealed that all three had secured talent-pool scholarships, the highest tier of merit-based primary scholarship in the country. Following their primary graduation, the triplets have successfully transitioned to secondary education and are currently studying in Class VI at the Sakhipur PM Pilot Model Government School and College.
Expressing her joy, Arjina Akter acknowledged the vital role played by their primary school in shaping her children’s academic success. She mentioned that her husband, despite living and working abroad as an expatriate, remained deeply involved in their upbringing, calling regularly to monitor their progress and offer words of encouragement. She expressed hope that her children would grow up to be well-educated, compassionate citizens who could actively contribute to the development of the nation.
Yusuf Ali, the headteacher of Baheratail Government Primary School, praised the triplets for their dedication to their studies. He noted that the siblings were consistently attentive and disciplined throughout their time at the school. He attributed this stellar achievement to the combined, persistent efforts of the school’s teaching staff and the parents, whilst wishing the triplets a highly successful academic journey ahead.
