In a dramatic turn of events, Syed SM Millat Hossain, the acting principal of Bogura Homeopathic Medical College, was allegedly dragged out of his private chamber, physically assaulted, and then handed over to the police by activists of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) on Monday night.
The incident occurred around 8 PM at the Yakubia Girls’ High School Market in Bogura city, where SM Millat had been attending to patients in his private chamber.

🚨 How It Unfolded:
According to local eyewitnesses, around 15 to 20 NCP members, led by Abdullah Al Sani (Central Organiser of the NCP Workers’ Wing), entered Millat’s chamber and forcibly took him outside.
He was then dragged through Shahid Abdul Jabbar Road, Kalibari Mor, and Pouroshava Lane while being intermittently beaten along the way. He was eventually handed over to the District Detective Branch (DB) Office, located near the office of the Police Superintendent.
The attackers also allegedly chanted slogans against the ruling Awami League during the incident.
A video of the assault quickly spread on Facebook, igniting public debate and concern.

In one circulating video, Abdullah Al Sani is heard saying:
“I gave him a final warning six months ago. He thought I was weak. I’m not a man of many words — I speak once and that’s enough. We’ve caught him at the right time. He’s been beating up my nephew and others for 20–25 years. There’ll be no room for Dilip Roy’s syndicate in the homeopathic council. We’re coming. Hasnat was also attacked.”
