Bangladesh’s pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman has surged back into the top 10 of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings for the first time in nearly four years. The latest rankings, released today by the International Cricket Council (ICC), mark a significant comeback for the left-arm seamer, whose last appearance in the top 10 dates back to October 2021.
Remarkable Leap in Rankings
Mustafizur made an impressive jump of 17 positions, landing in joint-ninth place with India’s Arshdeep Singh, both sitting on 653 rating points.
| Player | Team | Ranking Position | Rating Points |
| Mustafizur Rahman | Bangladesh | Joint-9th | 653 |
| Arshdeep Singh | India | Joint-9th | 653 |
This significant leap was fuelled by his stellar performance in the ongoing T20I series against Pakistan, where Bangladesh clinched their first-ever T20 series win over the arch-rivals.
Mustafizur’s Match Performance vs Pakistan
| Match | Overs | Runs Conceded | Wickets | Economy |
| 1st T20I | 4 | 6 | 2 | 1.50 |
| 2nd T20I | 3.2 | 5 | 1 | 1.50 |
| Total | 7.2 | 11 | 3 | 1.50 |
Mustafizur’s economy rate of 1.50 and average of 7.00 across both matches played a vital role in securing Bangladesh’s historic series victory.
