On Saturday evening, two individuals, including a woman, tragically lost their lives due to a lightning strike in Hasbapur village, situated within the Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district.
The victims were identified as:

According to local residents, Anwara Begum and Tamim were washing jute fibres in the water of Kacharipara Beel when the lightning struck.
Both victims were promptly taken to the Pangsha Upazila Health Complex. Unfortunately, the attending doctors on duty declared them deceased upon arrival.
Dr Ibadat Hossain, the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, confirmed the incident.
