The body of Lieutenant General (Retired) Bir Muktijoddha M Harun-or-Rashid, former Chief of Staff of the Bangladesh Army, was recovered from the Chittagong Club on Monday afternoon.
According to sources from the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), he had retired to a room at the club for the night on Sunday. When there was no response from him the following morning, the door was forcibly opened, where he was found deceased. He was taken to hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
