Bangladesh secured the T20 series against the Netherlands with one match to spare, marking their third consecutive T20 series victory. The sequence began with a win against Sri Lanka, followed by Pakistan, and most recently the Dutch team. Following this remarkable achievement, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul has attributed the success to the collective effort of the entire team and support system.
In an interview with a broadcast channel, Bulbul stated: “The credit goes first to the players, the support staff, the board, and most importantly, the fans. We firmly believe that if all three teams do not perform well, then good results cannot come.”
He elaborated further: “By the three teams, I mean those working at the board table, those in the dugout, and those playing on the field. When these three groups work in harmony, the team performs well. That is why we managed to win all three series. However, the main credit must go to the players themselves.”
Bulbul also reflected on the upcoming cricketing calendar: “Next up is the Asia Cup, followed by the World Cup. Matches keep coming one after another, which helps the team improve. After the cancellation of the India series, we wanted to organise this series so that the players remain engaged and maintain a competitive mindset.”
He added: “I’ve noticed that winning alone no longer makes them complacent. They discuss areas of improvement with the coaches. They are progressing as a team. The key point is that they remain active in competitive cricket, and this series has provided good preparation ahead of the Asia Cup.”
