Film actress, model, singer, television presenter, and radio jockey—the multi-talented Nusraat Faria has revealed yet another ambition: she wishes to pursue a career as a barrister.
The disclosure came during her guest appearance at an event hosted by actor Zayed Khan in Montreal, Canada.
The programme, titled Friday Night with Zayed Khan, featured an open conversation with Faria about various aspects of her life over the past year. At one stage, Zayed Khan asked her which of her dreams remained unfulfilled.
In response, Faria candidly stated: “I want to become a barrister. This has been a childhood wish of mine. Please pray that Almighty Allah helps me fulfil this dream too.”
Notably, Faria’s remark comes in the backdrop of her own legal troubles earlier this year. In May, she was arrested in connection with an attempted murder case and spent two days in prison before being released on bail.
Since regaining her freedom, almost four months had passed without her speaking publicly on the matter. However, on Zayed Khan’s show, she broke her silence: “I never imagined something like this would happen. Not even in my worst nightmares. For someone whose life revolves around skincare, makeup, a bit of travelling, shopping, spending time with family, and enjoying good food with friends—it was unthinkable to face such complications. When I am forced to constantly consider what I should or shouldn’t do, I feel deeply frustrated.”
This was the first time Nusraat Faria publicly addressed her arrest. She emphasised that, while the ordeal was unexpected and painful, it also taught her resilience: “Such situations teach a person to become stronger.”
