The year 2025 has undoubtedly been a remarkable one for Daisy Grenade, and the band has brought it to a thrilling close with the release of their inventive new cover of “For Good”. Available globally via DCD2/Fueled By Ramen, this rendition offers a fresh interpretation of the iconic duet from the celebrated musical Wicked, blending theatrical roots with the band’s distinctive alt-rock sensibilities to craft a wholly unique musical experience.
Speaking about the release, the band shared, “Suddenly! Here it is—our very own take on ‘For Good’. Coming from strong theatrical backgrounds, we felt this was the perfect moment to present this classic duet in our own musical language. Through a simple arrangement of guitar, drums, and bass, the track fuses alt-rock energy with subtle Broadway influences. Our vocals are showcased in a completely new light, and we hope audiences worldwide truly feel it.”
The cover made its live debut just last night at a sold-out holiday show, “Daisy Grenade Does Whatever the Fck They Want”, held at New York’s Joe’s Pub. The performance attracted a host of familiar faces, including Adam Cantor, Cassidy Pope, and Katerina McCrimmon, and offered fans an unforgettable evening of theatrical and musical spectacle.
This release follows a string of high-profile singles from Daisy Grenade in 2025. Earlier in the year, the band unveiled “Good Luck (Wish You Hell)”, lauded for its raw emotion and powerful vocal delivery. Their summer hit, “Don’t Sweat It”, produced by Andrew Goldstein—renowned for his work with Blink-182, Addison Rae, and Renéé Rapp—showcased a playful yet subtly dark intensity, further cementing the band’s reputation for creative versatility.
Once again, Daisy Grenade has proven their ability to merge theatricality with alt-rock vigour to produce bold, boundary-pushing music. With “For Good”, they breathe new life into a beloved classic, presenting it with creativity, aesthetic daring, and emotional depth. The release stands as a testament to the band’s spontaneous artistry, fearless experimentation, and commitment to innovative musical arrangements that defy conventional categorisation.
Fans can now stream the new cover worldwide, marking a triumphant close to a year of artistic exploration and musical evolution for Daisy Grenade.
