Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh made unexpected comments referring to himself as “dead” during a live concert in Calgary, Canada, as part of his “Aura World Tour 2026”. The event took place on 30 April, and a video recording of the performance has since circulated widely on social media.
According to a report by India Today, the remarks were made while Dosanjh was performing on stage before a live audience. During the concert, he delivered a series of statements reflecting on life, death, and his personal philosophy.
In the video, he is heard saying:
“I have already left this world long ago. I am not afraid of death. Last December I tried to leave this body. But I still have some work left, so I have to remain here. There is nothing to fear. I have already left this world—that is the truth, and I am standing on this stage; this is my inner God.”
He further stated:
“I have no fear of death, nor any ill will towards anyone. I love everyone. Love, respect and forgiveness are an integral part of my life. Those who are still with me represent the true identity of Punjab. I am Punjabi. What do you think?”
The comments were made during the live performance and were not followed by any on-stage clarification at the time. The remarks prompted concern among a portion of the audience present at the venue. Footage from the concert also shows some attendees reportedly raising red flags during the performance.
The video has since been widely shared online, drawing attention due to the nature of the statements made in a live entertainment setting. The incident occurred during Dosanjh’s ongoing international tour, in which he has been performing across multiple cities as part of his scheduled tour programme.
