The renowned Bangladeshi vocalist and Ekushey Padak awardee Mahbuba Rahman has passed away, marking the end of an illustrious chapter in the country’s musical heritage. She died on Thursday evening at a private hospital in Dhaka while undergoing treatment. Family sources confirmed that she succumbed to age-related complications. She was 91.

Born in 1935, Mahbuba Rahman displayed a strong inclination towards music from a very early age.
