Ferran Torres Joins Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona Until 2031

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona, securing the World Cup final goalscorer on a long-term contract running until 2031. Both clubs officially confirmed the transfer on Saturday, 15 August, marking a significant piece of business in the summer transfer window.

While neither PSG nor Barcelona publicly disclosed the official financial details of the agreement, media reports indicate that the French champions paid a transfer fee in the region of €50 million to secure the attacker’s services.

The move represents a major new chapter in the 26-year-old forward’s career as he transitions from Spanish football to France’s top flight. Torres originally joined Barcelona in January 2022 from English Premier League champions Manchester City. Over his four-year tenure in Catalonia, he established himself as a versatile attacking option across the front line, contributing key goals in domestic and European competitions while refining his tactically flexible style of play.
