A passenger bus erupted into flames early Friday morning following a collision with a motorcycle in Gazipur City Corporation's Bordbazar area, leaving one person injured. The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m., causing temporary disruption to the city’s morning traffic.

According to eyewitnesses and local fire service officials, the bus, travelling from Tangail to Dhaka, collided with a motorcycle approaching from the opposite direction upon reaching Bordbazar. The impact caused the motorcycle to become lodged beneath the bus, generating friction sparks that quickly ignited the vehicle.

Two fire units from the Bhogura Modern Fire Service responded promptly, bringing the fire under control after nearly 45 minutes of intense effort. Thankfully, only one individual sustained injuries, and no fatalities have been reported.

Bhogura Modern Fire Service Station Officer Hiron Mia noted that the accident briefly obstructed the flow of traffic in the area. With the assistance of local authorities and residents, the damaged bus was eventually removed, allowing normal traffic to resume.
