The deadliest incident took place around midday in the Tirkhi Kalibazar area of Trishal upazila. A head-on collision between a sand-laden drum truck and an oncoming CNG-driven auto-rickshaw left the smaller passenger vehicle completely mangled. Auto-rickshaw driver Jasim Uddin, 38, died on the spot from the impact of the crash.

Local residents rushed to the scene to assist the victims, transporting five injured passengers to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for emergency treatment. An unidentified woman succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival while undergoing medical care. The remaining four injured individuals remain admitted at the facility, where medical staff continue to treat their wounds.

A separate fatal accident occurred late on Sunday night along the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway in the Atkapara area of Nandail upazila. An unidentified woman, estimated to be around 35 years old, was struck by an unidentified speeding vehicle while attempting to cross the highway. She died instantly at the scene due to severe trauma. Following alerts from local residents, officers from Nandail Highway Police recovered the body and dispatched it for a post-mortem examination.

In a third incident in South Gafargaon, a 25-year-old man named Rifat died following a road accident in the Paithal Union. Local law enforcement officers responded to the site to clear the roadway and process the scene.

The series of fatal crashes has raised fresh concerns among residents regarding speed control, heavy vehicle movement, and road safety measures along key transport routes in Mymensingh district. Local authorities confirmed that investigations into the circumstances surrounding each collision are currently underway.
