After a notable break from consistent music releases, acclaimed Bangladeshi singer and composer Hridoy Khan is preparing to return to the music scene with a brand-new solo track titled “Hahakar”. The forthcoming release marks a significant moment for both the artiste and his long-standing audience, who have been awaiting fresh material from him.
The song has been penned by contemporary lyricist Someshwar Oli, while Hridoy Khan himself has taken charge of the composition and musical arrangement, continuing his tradition of creative control over his productions. The track is scheduled for release on 24 April and will premiere on his official YouTube channel.
Speaking about the new release, Hridoy Khan acknowledged his recent lack of regular output but emphasised the continued enthusiasm of his listeners. He stated that despite his intermittent presence in the industry, audience demand has remained strong, with many fans repeatedly requesting new music that reflects his signature style. According to him, “Hahakar” emerged directly from this expectation and creative encouragement.
He further noted that the song is intended as a return to the melodic identity that originally defined his career. In his view, restoring that recognisable musical essence was central to the production process, and he hopes the final result will resonate with both long-time followers and newer listeners.
In addition to his musical comeback, Hridoy Khan has also been active in visual storytelling projects. Earlier this year, he released a short film titled “Trapped” on his YouTube channel. The project, which had been in development for nearly four years, showcased his involvement not only as a director but also as an actor, appearing alongside model and performer Monalisa. The film was released on 16 January, accompanied by the song “Shada Kalo”, further highlighting his dual role as both filmmaker and musician.
For “Shada Kalo”, Hridoy Khan was once again responsible for vocals, composition, and arrangement, while also directing the music video. The visual production featured cinematography by Ali Afroze Arnob, adding a distinct aesthetic dimension to the project.
