The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2026, recognising a diverse line-up of artists spanning rock, pop, soul, punk, and hip-hop. Iron Maiden’s Landmark Induction
Iron Maiden’s inclusion marks one of the longest waits for entry into the Hall of Fame. Formed in 1975 and debuting in 1980, the band has remained active in recording and touring for five decades. Their induction arrives during their ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations and global “Run For Your Lives” tour.
Following the announcement, band manager Rod Smallwood issued a statement on behalf of the group. He expressed gratitude to the Hall of Fame while emphasising that the band has always prioritised its relationship with fans over industry accolades. The statement also noted that, while recognition is appreciated, the honour holds added significance during their anniversary tour.
Iron Maiden will not be able to attend the ceremony in person, as they are scheduled to perform in Melbourne on 13 November and Sydney on 15 November, coinciding with the event date in Los Angeles.
Phil Collins’ Second Induction
Phil Collins’ inclusion this year marks his second entry into the Hall of Fame, having previously been inducted in 2010 as a member of Genesis. His solo career produced globally recognised hits such as In the Air Tonight, Against All Odds, and Take Me Home. Collins became Genesis’s lead vocalist in 1975 following Peter Gabriel’s departure, later establishing one of the most successful solo careers of his generation.
