NBR Chairman Abdur Rahman Khan emphasized that this approach will ensure faster trade processing, benefiting both local businesses and international investors.
Javed Akhter, who also serves as the Chairman of Unilever Bangladesh Limited, praised the initiative, stating, “This move will strengthen investor confidence in Bangladesh and encourage more foreign direct investment (FDI). We will highlight this progress in Bangladesh’s digital transformation to global investors.”

Initially, the system has been rolled out for agricultural products, but there are plans to expand it to all product categories in the near future. “Our goal is to ensure that businesses across all sectors can benefit from this platform,” he added.
Bangladesh has been making steady strides in modernizing its trade and customs processes to meet global compliance standards. The implementation of ASYCUDA World, along with AEO certification, aligns the country with international trade best practices, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and increasing competitiveness.
