Official Exchange Rates Stable as Foreign Inflow Drives Economy

Foreign currency exchange rates in Bangladesh displayed steady trends across major global currencies today, reflecting stable interbank transactions and ongoing international trade demand. Millions of Bangladeshi expatriates residing across the globe continue to serve as a vital pillar of the national economy. The steady influx of foreign remittances sent by non-resident Bangladeshis remains crucial in keeping the country’s economic engine running smoothly, alongside expanding international trade ties. To assist expatriates, traders, and individual remitters with their financial planning, Bangladesh Bank has released the official exchange rates for Monday, 2 November 2026.

According to official data published by Bangladesh Bank, the US dollar maintains a uniform buying and selling rate of 124.30 Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) in the domestic currency market, bringing the average exchange rate precisely to 124.30 BDT. The market stability in the dollar exchange rate provides predictability for importers and exporters navigating global trading channels.

European and British currencies showed steady trading figures in local commercial banks. The Euro is currently being bought at 138.69 BDT and sold at 138.74 BDT. Meanwhile, the British Pound Sterling, a key currency for trade and personal remittances from the United Kingdom, stands at a buying rate of 166.45 BDT and a selling rate of 166.48 BDT.

The Middle East remains the primary destination for the Bangladeshi migrant workforce, making regional currencies particularly significant for daily household remittances. The Saudi Riyal, which sees high demand from workers and pilgrims alike, traded uniformly with both buying and selling rates set at 32.94 BDT.

Asian trade partner currencies also displayed consistent figures. The Japanese Yen trades at 0.77 BDT for both buying and selling transactions. The Singapore Dollar stands at 96.58 BDT for buying and 96.68 BDT for selling. Neighboring India’s currency, the Indian Rupee, holds a buying and selling rate of 1.30 BDT, facilitating routine cross-border commerce and travel needs. Further afield, Commonwealth currencies showed steady positioning, with the Australian Dollar trading between 87.38 BDT (buying) and 87.45 BDT (selling), while the Canadian Dollar maintained a balanced rate of 88.95 BDT for both buying and selling.

Currency values in the open market remain subject to fluctuation based on global liquidity, foreign reserve conditions, and interbank demand. Financial institutions recommend verifying exact real-time rates with authorised commercial banks or registered exchange houses prior to completing international transfers.
