Further operations yielded 59 arrests in the Motijheel Division, 37 in Gulshan, 34 in Uttara, and 27 in the Ramna Division.
During these coordinated raids, law enforcement officers recovered a wide range of illicit items and assets. Narcotics seizures included 1,040 Yaba tablets, 90 small packets of heroin, and 222 packets of cannabis. In addition to drugs, officers confiscated physical evidence and property comprising five mobile phones, two knives, a private car, a motorcycle, and 13,820 taka in cash. Crucially, police operations also resulted in the rescue of two victims.
The raids were conducted throughout Friday across multiple police station jurisdictions in the metropolis. Officers focused on hotspots known for drug distribution, street crime, and petty offenses to maintain public order and safety.
Legal proceedings against all 538 arrested individuals are currently underway at their respective local police stations. The suspects are scheduled to appear before the court, while forensic examinations of the seized narcotics and items continue as part of the formal evidence collection process.
