A newly reinterpreted rendition of the celebrated patriotic anthem “Prothom Bangladesh” is scheduled for release on 26 March, aligning with Bangladesh’s Independence Day commemorations. The project also marks the official debut of Fireworx, a newly established music and creative production platform aiming to blend heritage with contemporary artistic expression.

Originally performed by the legendary Shahnaz Rahmatullah, with lyrics penned by Moniruzzaman Monir and composition by Aliuddin Ali, “Prothom Bangladesh” holds a distinguished place in the nation’s cultural memory. Over the decades, it has remained one of the most emotionally resonant patriotic songs, widely associated with national identity, sacrifice, and collective pride.

Fireworx has undertaken this reinterpretation as its inaugural initiative, positioning the project as both a tribute and a cultural bridge. The production seeks to preserve the original song’s emotional depth while introducing refreshed musical textures designed to appeal to younger audiences who may be encountering the piece for the first time. The organisers describe the effort as an attempt to reaffirm the song’s message of unity, resilience, and devotion to the country in a contemporary sonic language.

The new arrangement has been composed and reimagined musically by Fuad Almuqtadir, with Tajwar Awal serving as executive producer. Production collaboration has also come from Adnan Karim and Ashiq Zaman, both contributing to shaping the project’s modern direction while maintaining its traditional essence.

Unlike a conventional studio recording, the accompanying music video has been produced in a live-performance format. This approach emphasises raw instrumentation, organic sound, and real-time musical interaction among the performers. Visually, the production symbolises a generational transition, portraying established voices alongside emerging artists, reflecting the passing of cultural responsibility from one generation to the next.

The release is planned for simultaneous global distribution across digital platforms on Independence Day, ensuring accessibility for both domestic and international audiences.
