Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) has issued a fresh recruitment notice seeking to strengthen its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division, reflecting the organisation’s growing emphasis on digital transformation and efficient service delivery. The state-owned utility provider, which plays a pivotal role in electricity distribution across the capital, is inviting applications from qualified and ambitious candidates for two technical positions.
According to the official announcement, a total of 12 vacancies will be filled across the roles of Assistant Manager (ICT) and Junior Assistant Manager (ICT). These positions are expected to attract a significant number of applicants, particularly those aiming to build a professional career in the country’s expanding ICT and power sectors.

For the post of Assistant Manager (ICT), candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE), or any closely related field.
Applicants for the Junior Assistant Manager (ICT) role are required to possess at least a diploma in engineering or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Communication and Networking Technology, or equivalent subjects.
In addition, candidates must meet strict academic standards. No third division or class is acceptable at any stage of education. A minimum GPA of 4.00 on a 5-point scale or a CGPA of 3.00 on a 4-point scale is mandatory. Strong communication skills in both Bangla and English are also essential, given the nature of the responsibilities.
Both positions are initially offered on a contractual basis for three years. However, contracts may be renewed based on performance, potentially extending employment up to the age of 60.

The age limit for applicants is set at a maximum of 32 years as of 11 March 2026. However, current DPDC employees may benefit from an age relaxation of up to five years.
