“Saudi Chief: ‘Salah Is Our Man’ — Are Clubs Ready To Bid?”

Speaking at the prestigious World Football Summit in Riyadh, Omar Mughrabel, the chief executive of the Saudi Pro League, dropped a bombshell. According to him, Mohamed Salah is under serious consideration by several member clubs. Mughrabel made clear that while the league itself doesn’t negotiate transfers — that remains the prerogative of individual clubs — the Saudi top flight would welcome the Liverpool forward with open arms.

This marks the first time a high‑ranking official from the league has publicly acknowledged interest in Salah. Previously, whispers circulated — tales of Saudi clubs offering lavish contracts and promising playing time — but nothing ever official. Now, that may be about to change.

Mughrabel’s words carry weight, especially when seen against the backdrop of Saudi clubs’ recent spending spree. The league is aggressively pursuing star names to elevate its global profile, and Salah fits the bill perfectly: world‑class pedigree, proven goal‑scoring record, and name recognition across continents.

Furthermore, rumours persist that Salah could leave Liverpool as early as January, despite having signed a contract extension in April only months ago. The logic is straightforward: for Salah, the combination of fading trust at Liverpool and the prospect of a golden‑handshake deal abroad may prove irresistible. For Saudi clubs, adding a player of his calibre could bring both on‑field rewards and marketing clout.

The next few weeks are set to be critical. If any club formally approaches Salah — and if Liverpool deem the offer acceptable — we may witness one of the most high‑profile moves of the winter transfer window.
