According to the utility authority, the temporary shutdown is necessary to execute structural upgrades aimed at enhancing power delivery and operational efficiency. Engineers are set to downsize existing 11 kV feeders to reduce system overload and prevent unexpected trips. By redistributing the load and upgrading physical supply lines, the authority intends to minimize future load-shedding and ensure a more stable power flow for residents and commercial establishments. The maintenance drive is scheduled to run continuously from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm.

The temporary power suspension will affect multiple residential and commercial hubs across Kashimpur. Specific locations impacted by the shutdown include parts of Kashimpur proper, areas adjacent to the BADC Gate, the vicinity surrounding Rafiqul School, the western sector of Kashimpur Stand, Refugee Para, Hajipara, and neighbourhoods near Jitar Mor. Additionally, power will be cut in areas adjacent to Alim’s residence, the local graveyard, Jamal Tower, Mollika Bazar, Nayapara, Haker Nol, Laldighi, Khanka Sharif, and Rowshan Market.

Utility officials confirmed that maintenance teams will work to complete the grid upgrades as swiftly as possible. Should technical work conclude ahead of schedule, power will be restored immediately without prior notice. Expressing regret for the inconvenience caused, the Kashimpur Zonal Office advised residents and business operators in the designated areas to make necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled outage.
