Tarique Rahman Meets BNP Leaders from Five Divisions Today

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is holding meetings with nomination aspirants for the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol. On Sunday at 4 p.m., he began discussions with aspirants from the Chattogram and Rangpur divisions, followed by meetings with those from the Mymensingh, Faridpur, and Cumilla divisions.

Today, Monday (October 27), Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will hold meetings with nomination aspirants from the Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, and Dhaka divisions. The information was confirmed by BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.

The meetings will take place at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan. All concerned have already been invited via phone calls. However, discussions are ongoing in Khulna city regarding the participation of long-time BNP leader Nazrul Islam Manju in the meeting.

According to party sources, from Saturday night, potential candidates and nomination aspirants from various divisions, including Khulna, started receiving calls from the party’s central office. At least 20 aspirants from Khulna’s six constituencies are heading to Dhaka. Additionally, over a hundred potential candidates from the division’s 36 constituencies are traveling to the capital.

Meanwhile, Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan Milton, a member of the BNP National Executive Committee and nomination aspirant for Chattogram-3 (Sandwip) constituency, attended Sunday’s meeting. He said that the directives given by Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman were very significant. He instructed everyone to work for whoever receives the nomination in the upcoming election. Milton added that Tarique Rahman’s guidance is essential for them and must be followed. “I believe his decision will be final in the upcoming election, and everyone will accept it, InshaAllah,” he said.
