Renowned band Ashes is transforming this year’s Eid into a distinctive musical experience with the release of two eagerly awaited albums: Illusions and Featherless Bird. Illusions features nine tracks, while Featherless Bird comprises eight. On the night of the new moon, one track from each album will be unveiled, with the remaining songs released weekly thereafter, offering audiences a prolonged and immersive musical journey.
Most of the tracks were composed over the past eight to ten years. While some have previously been performed in concerts, this marks the first time they are officially included on an album. In addition, a special Eid track will be released as part of Ashes’ humanitarian initiative, with all proceeds directed toward social welfare projects.
Speaking about the albums, lead vocalist Junaid Evan said, “These albums explore musical ideas and themes. True happiness is not material—it is mental and emotional. Modern life often drives us toward excess, but real joy comes from connecting with nature—gazing at the sky, feeling the rain, sensing the moonlight, and sharing laughter.” He added, “These songs reflect existential questions and personal struggles, making the music both introspective and universal.”
Following Eid, Ashes will host special concerts and listening sessions at scenic locations, including hilly and coastal areas. Evan explained, “Our audience will not just listen to the songs; they will experience the story behind each piece and actively participate in the journey.”
| Project / Album | Number of Tracks | Release Schedule | Special Features |

Since last year, the Ashes for Humanity programme has donated all revenue to hospitals and medical support, with no band member receiving personal remuneration.
In May, Ashes will embark on a European tour, performing confirmed concerts in Rome, Venice, and Paris. Despite invitations from other countries, the tour is limited to these three cities to accommodate domestic commitments.
