Nasir Uddin, the General Secretary of Chhatra Dal, has raised concerns over the appointment of Abdul Hannan Masud, Senior Joint Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP), to oversee operations at a port. Speaking during a televised talk show on a private channel, Nasir questioned the rationale behind the decision, asking:
“Is Hannan Masud an expert in port management? Was there no one else available in the country?”
He further questioned whether Hannan Masud had any experience in labour union activities or industrial administration, stating that appointing individuals without relevant professional expertise undermines institutional credibility.

He posed a direct challenge to the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, asking:
“What steps will you take against those who used this platform to commit extortion, or who were directly involved in murder?”

Touching upon the formation of new student organisations, Nasir Uddin recalled protests held at Modhur Canteen by students from private universities. He alleged that:
