Dhaka, Bangladesh: After a month of repeated cancellations and postponements of high-profile performances—from Azmat Ali and Anuv Jain to Pakistan’s Jaal Band and local act Kabish—concert-goers in Dhaka now have certainty regarding the much-anticipated performance of Pakistan’s renowned singer Atif Aslam. Scheduled for 13 December 2025, the concert will take place at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Exhibition Centre (CBFC) in Purbachal.
The organisers, Main Stage Inc, confirmed in a press release that all necessary permits have been secured, and additional measures have been taken to ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of attendees. Among the arrangements is a free shuttle service provided by BRTC, which will operate from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm for pick-up from the Kuril Bus Stand, with return trips after the concert between 11:00 pm and midnight. Tickets will be checked at the pick-up point before boarding.
The concert is co-hosted by the humanitarian organisation Spirits of July, with a special commitment that 40% of the total proceeds will be donated to the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation. These funds will provide long-term support to the families of those killed or injured during the historic July movement, underscoring the humanitarian vision behind this entertainment initiative.
In addition to Atif Aslam, who will headline the event, the programme will feature performances by music director and producer Fuad, the Nemesis Band, and several other prominent national artists, ensuring a diverse and captivating musical experience for attendees.
Organisers have emphasised that all previous venue complications have been resolved, and the concert will take place as scheduled. They have implemented heightened security measures, controlled entry and exit, and organised parking and traffic management to guarantee a smooth and secure environment for all spectators.
The collaboration between entertainment and social welfare highlights a unique model of cultural philanthropy, combining live music with a meaningful cause. Fans attending the event can expect not only a spectacular musical performance but also the opportunity to contribute to a humanitarian initiative supporting historical memory and community welfare.
