Aman Ullah Aman, adviser to the BNP Chairperson and newly elected Member of Parliament for Dhaka-2, has urged strict accountability within the party, emphasising that the organisation must act against wrongdoers irrespective of their political affiliation.
Speaking at a post-election consultation meeting with Upazila-level officials, government employees, and heads of educational institutions at Savar Upazila Auditorium on Thursday afternoon, Aman stated, “The BNP is a party of the people. However, anyone who misuses the party’s name for personal gain must be arrested first. We will not tolerate any obstruction to public service.”
He stressed that the mandate of the BNP government carries with it a solemn duty to ensure citizens’ welfare. “The people have entrusted BNP with the responsibility of governance out of love and confidence. It is our duty to stand by them in both joy and hardship. With this commitment, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has commenced his work,” Aman said.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiful Islam and moderated by Upazila Land Assistant Officer. Aman further called on the administration to take uncompromising action against crime, drugs, extortion, and land-related irregularities. “Corruption will not be tolerated. Even if the offender is a member of my own party, arrest them first,” he asserted.
Highlighting the party’s ongoing vision, Aman added, “Since 2024, we have been working towards a society free from fascism, inequality, and injustice. Our efforts to build a fair and equitable society will continue unabated.”
During the session, local dignitaries presented various proposals to advance development in Savar. Aman Ullah Aman listened attentively, taking detailed notes and assuring that these suggestions would be implemented through coordinated efforts.
