Over 68,000 Students Awarded Scholarships

A total of 68,768 students have been selected for various scholarships, including the Junior Scholarship, across Bangladesh. The announcement was made on Wednesday, 25 February, at the Secretariat by Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon and State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj.

Breakdown by Education Board

Among the recipients, 46,200 students from the nine general education boards have been awarded the Junior Scholarship. Of these, 14,700 students received merit scholarships, while 31,500 students obtained general scholarships.

For the Madrasa Education Board, 11,180 students were selected for the Dakhil (Grade 8) scholarship, and another 11,180 students received the Ebtedayee (Grade 5) scholarship. Additionally, under the Technical Education Board, 208 students have been awarded the JS and JD scholarships.

The Junior Scholarship examination was conducted from 28 December to 5 January.

Scholarship Benefits

Merit scholarship recipients will receive a one-time annual payment of BDT 560 and a monthly allowance of BDT 450. General scholarship recipients will receive BDT 350 once a year and BDT 300 per month. These benefits are provided for up to two years.

How to Check Results

1. Online:
Visit the Department of Primary Education website (dpe.gov.bd), click on the ‘Scholarship Result’ option, and enter your roll number and the year 2026 to view your results.

2. SMS:
Type your board name, roll number, and year in a text message and send it to 16222. You will receive your result via a return SMS.
