Inspector Md Asaduzzaman, serving in the Prosecution Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has passed away while undergoing treatment in Thailand. He died at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok.
The news of his death was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mia Mohammad Ashis Bin Hasan of the DMP Prosecution Division. He expressed profound condolences, praying for the eternal peace of the deceased and extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
According to DMP sources, Inspector Asaduzzaman had been suffering from a prolonged illness. As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Thailand for advanced medical care. Despite continued treatment at one of Bangkok’s leading private hospitals, he breathed his last during the course of medical supervision.
His death has cast a shadow of grief within the police administration, particularly among colleagues in the prosecution wing, where he served for several years with dedication and professionalism.
Career and Background
Inspector Asaduzzaman had an extensive and respected career in law enforcement. He initially joined the Bangladesh Police as a Sub-Inspector (SI) after completing his graduation from the University of Dhaka. Through years of disciplined service, integrity, and commitment to duty, he was promoted to the rank of Inspector.
Throughout his service, he was known for his professional conduct, particularly in handling prosecution-related responsibilities at the DMP level. Colleagues described him as diligent, cooperative, and steadfast in performing his duties.
He leaves behind his wife, a son, and a daughter. His ancestral home is in Chhoto Azoldi village under Pakundia Police Station in Kishoreganj district.
