According to Fire Service officials and hospital sources, the accident occurred at around 6:00 a.m. when a passenger bus operated by Bhati Bangla Paribahan lost control and crashed heavily into a road divider before overturning. The impact left three people, including the bus helper, with severe injuries.
Emergency responders from the Fire Service reached the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident. Rescue personnel recovered the injured individuals from the overturned vehicle and arranged for their transfer to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rafiq, 35, son of Nur Alam of Mymensingh Sadar Upazila. He had been working as the driver’s assistant on the bus at the time of the accident. Hospital authorities stated that he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital along with the other injured victims. However, at approximately 7:45 a.m., the attending physician declared him dead.
The two injured passengers were identified as Mohammad Firoz, 40, and Mohammad Rony, 25. Both remain under medical care at the hospital. No further information regarding the extent of their injuries or current condition was immediately available.

Officials said the bus struck the divider with considerable force before overturning, suggesting that the vehicle had lost control prior to the collision. The exact cause of the accident has not yet been disclosed.
Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the police outpost at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, confirmed the incident and the death of Mohammad Rafiq. He stated that the body had been kept at the hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination in accordance with legal procedures.
The hospital police outpost also confirmed that the relevant police station had been informed of the incident. Authorities are expected to follow the standard investigative process to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The accident briefly prompted emergency rescue operations in the busy Mohakhali area, where Fire Service personnel worked to remove the injured and ensure their rapid transport to hospital. No additional casualties were reported in connection with the incident.
