Kylian Mbappe has suffered a setback in his long-running financial dispute with former club Paris Saint-Germain, after the Paris Court of Appeal ordered the France captain to pay €60,000 to the French side.
The ruling relates to an attempt made by Mbappe in 2025 to have PSG’s bank accounts seized as part of the wider dispute over payments he says remain outstanding. French sports newspaper L’Equipe reported that the latest decision represents a significant legal victory for PSG in its continuing battle with its former star.
Mbappe left PSG in August 2024 and joined Spanish giants Real Madrid. His departure ended a high-profile period in Paris, but the move did not resolve disagreements over financial obligations between the player and his former club.
Following his departure, Mbappe claimed that PSG owed him around €60 million in unpaid bonuses and other incentives. The substantial claim became the central issue in a dispute that continued after he had moved to Madrid.
