Meherab Returns with New Single

After a notable hiatus from releasing new music, Bangladeshi singer Meherab is making a return to the contemporary music scene with a fresh single that revisits his signature emotive style and lyrical sensitivity. Once widely recognised for his distinctive vocal delivery on the “Closeup One” platform in 2005, Meherab had carved out a unique identity among audiences, earning appreciation for his versatility as a vocalist, composer, and music director.

Following years of active contribution to the industry, he gradually stepped back from regular releases. Now, after this period of relative quiet, he is re-engaging with listeners through a new romantic track titled “Bhalobashte Ki Bhoy Hoy” (Does Love Bring Fear?), which will be released under Dhruv Music Station (DMS).

The song brings together a creative team of established names from the Bangladeshi music industry. The lyrics are written by Rabiul Islam Jibon, a National Film Award-winning lyricist known for his emotionally resonant writing. Meherab himself has composed and performed the song, ensuring that his artistic imprint remains central to the production. The musical arrangement has been crafted by Adib Kabir, one of the contemporary industry’s prominent music directors, known for his polished and modern soundscapes.

The music video is directed by Chandan Roy Chowdhury, who has built a reputation for cinematic storytelling in music visuals. The video explores themes of love, emotional conflict, and the uncertainties embedded in relationships. It features performances by Joya Mirza and Tanmoy Sabi, with Meherab also making an appearance, adding a personal dimension to the visual narrative.

Speaking about his return, Meherab expressed that love remains one of the most powerful human emotions, often accompanied by both joy and hesitation. He noted that the song reflects this emotional duality, and that he has attempted to preserve its depth through both composition and performance. He further shared that returning with a new project after a long break has generated a sense of excitement and anticipation, and he hopes the audience will respond positively to the work.

According to Dhruv Music Station, the official music video will be released on their YouTube channel on 11 June, Thursday, and the song will simultaneously be made available across major digital streaming platforms worldwide.
