Portugal and Austria faced each other in the U-17 World Cup final, both chasing their first-ever title. However, it was Portugal, led by the next generation of Cristiano Ronaldo, who emerged victorious. At Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar, Portugal defeated Austria 1-0 and celebrated lifting the trophy.

From the start, the game was fast-paced, with both teams attacking. Portugal dominated possession in the first half. In the 32nd minute, Anício Cabral scored, assisted by a perfect pass from Cunha, slotting the ball in with his left foot. Despite further chances, Portugal could not extend the lead in the first half.

In the second half, Austria created several clear opportunities but were denied by Portugal’s strong defense. Shots from Hopmann and headers from Nuduk missed the target. Ultimately, Portugal claimed their first U-17 World Cup title.
