Two additional people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours across the country, while 565 others have been admitted to hospital with the mosquito-borne disease.
The information was detailed in a report issued on Tuesday (2 December) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
According to the report, of those admitted with dengue in the past 24 hours, 51 were from Barishal Division, 82 from Chattogram Division, 95 from Dhaka Division (outside the city corporations), 127 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 88 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 43 from Khulna Division, 45 from Mymensingh Division, 30 from Rajshahi Division, 3 from Rangpur Division and 1 from Sylhet Division.
During the same period, 578 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals nationwide. This brings the total number of patients discharged so far this year to 93,196.
So far this year, dengue has claimed 386 lives, and a total of 95,577 people have been admitted to hospital with the disease.
