The steady influx of patients has heightened anxieties among the local population, particularly as monsoon conditions create ideal breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes. Standing rainwater in residential areas continues to accelerate mosquito larvae development, raising fears of further transmission in the coming weeks.

Medical personnel at the hospital maintain that diagnostic testing is being carried out for all patients presenting with fever or related symptoms. Individuals who test positive are admitted for close monitoring and supportive care.

Healthcare professionals emphasize that managing clinical cases must go hand in hand with proactive mosquito control. Eliminating stagnant water around households remains the most effective preventive measure. Authorities urge residents to regularly drain flower pots, discarded plastic containers, oil drums, and clogged water channels where water tends to collect.

Mirsarai Upazila Health Officer Dr Md Minhaj Uddin stressed the critical importance of civic responsibility and early medical intervention. He advised members of the public not to ignore persistent fevers or associated warning signs, urging anyone experiencing symptoms to seek immediate medical advice at government healthcare facilities rather than resorting to self-medication at home.
