Bangladeshi singer-songwriter Nafeez Al Amin has finalised production on his forthcoming Extended Play (EP) titled Beshi Joss. The four-track studio project consolidates multiple years of independent composition alongside collaborative performances featuring a notable contingent of musicians from both the domestic rock scene and international music communities.
The tracking phase for Beshi Joss was executed entirely within Nafeez’s personal home studio infrastructure. This self-contained production approach included the physical miking and tracking of all instrumentation, including full acoustic drum kits, rather than relying on digital emulation.
The timeline of the project represents a contrast between modern recording sessions and older arrangements:
| Production Phase | Timeline Details |
| Active Studio Tracking | Three months of continuous production |
| Earliest Songwriting Origins | Compositions dating back to 2004 |
| Lyric Composition (3 Tracks) | Written by Nafeez Al Amin |
| Lyric Composition (1 Track) | “Shomoyke Chariye” written by Ashfaque Pallab |
Structurally, the EP avoids adherence to a singular musical classification, deliberately combining an array of distinct stylistic influences across its four tracks.
To diversify the sonic texture of the record, Nafeez secured the involvement of several prominent instrumentalists from various bands and geographical backgrounds:
Samir Hafiz: Guitarist representing the established Bangladeshi rock and metal acts Warfaze and Powersurge.
Pritom & Maheyan: Musicians representing the respective local contemporary outfits Owned and Conclusion.
Asif Ranan: Local independent artist contributing to the project’s tracking sessions.
Marco: Session musician contributing to the arrangements from Argentina.
Ken Andrews: Guitarist from the veteran American death metal ensemble Obituary.
Reflecting on the rigorous assembly of the record, Nafeez noted that the three months of active studio tracking demanded immense personal dedication, particularly when adapting older material that had remained unrecorded since 2004.
The distribution of Beshi Joss is designed as the opening phase of a multi-tiered release schedule. The songwriter intends to issue subsequent tracks over the forthcoming months, with the definitive objective of expanding the EP’s foundational material into a comprehensive, full-length studio album.
Concurrently, preparations are underway to transition the home-recorded material into public spaces. Nafeez has outlined a promotional strategy centered on live performances across multiple states, which will include participating in regional multicultural music festivals and collaborative concert events.
