The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections, originally planned for 4 October, have been rescheduled to 6 October. The official election schedule was announced on Sunday.
Earlier this month, a three-member Election Commission was formed by the BCB, with Mohammad Hossain, Senior Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner. Following this, the timetable for the upcoming election has now been released, including deadlines for nomination collection and submission.

The BCB Board of Directors is formed through the votes of councillors. According to its constitution:
Once directors are elected, the BCB President is chosen through voting among the elected directors.
This year’s elections are expected to see several new faces contesting for directorial positions.
