Police in the capital have launched an investigation after discovering the dismembered remains of an unidentified man in the Adabor area of Dhaka on Saturday.
Law enforcement officers recovered the victim’s remains from Hakkar Mor in Adabor Block 10 after being alerted by local residents. According to preliminary reports from the scene, the body had been severed into approximately ten pieces, with clear signs of throat-slitting and severe violence evident on the victim’s limbs and torso.
Adabor Police Station personnel cordoned off the location shortly after arriving to secure physical evidence. Investigators face an immediate challenge as the identity of the deceased remains unknown. The body has been sent to a local hospital morgue for a detailed autopsy, whilst forensic specialists work to collect finger impressions and sample DNA to determine who the victim was.
