Musician Fariha Farahi has officially released her latest original track, titled Moyna Re. Demonstrating her multifaceted artistic talents, Farahi penned the lyrics, composed the melody, and performed the vocals for the new single. The musical arrangement was crafted by Shobhan Roy, with final mixing and mastering completed at A1 Studio. To complement the track, a vibrant music video was directed by Mahtim Shakib, featuring choreography by the Dhaka Dance Company. Both the track and its visual representation were designed to deliver a lively, accessible, and engaging experience for a wide audience.
Reflecting on the release of Moyna Re, Farahi expressed her commitment to regularly creating and releasing self-written and self-composed music. Her artistic vision centers on exploring unconventional concepts and fresh ideas. Although she holds formal training in music, her passion for dance developed independently through personal dedication. Farahi shared that she often finds as much joy in dancing as she does in singing, describing dance as a medium through which she discovers new dimensions of her creative self.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Farahi brings a distinctive background to her music career. She served in the Bangladesh Air Force for twelve years before transitioning into entrepreneurship, where she currently manages her own business. Alongside her commercial ventures, she is now actively prioritizing music as an integral component of her professional career.
Her musical roots trace back to strong family influences. Her late father, who served as a government official, was also a respected music instructor at the Cumilla Shilpakala Academy and left behind a legacy of original compositions. Farahi plans to revisit her father’s unreleased and classic compositions, reinterpreting them with modern arrangements and contemporary presentations tailored for present-day listeners.
