Grand-Lancy, Switzerland, 05 December 2025 – According to information published by the media, Temenos (SIX: TEMN), a globally recognised leader in banking technology, has been named the Best Core Banking System in the Banking Tech Awards 2025. The prestigious awards, now in their 26th year, celebrate financial institutions and technology providers that play a significant role in shaping the future of the global banking sector.

Earlier this year, Temenos achieved the same recognition at the Banking Tech Awards USA. This series of accolades reflects the company’s market-leading technological strength, commitment to innovation and continued customer success across different regions.

More than 950 banks worldwide rely on Temenos for core banking services. The company offers financial institutions flexibility, choice and a trusted route to modernising banking operations. Built upon cloud-native architecture, Temenos’ best-of-suite and modular core systems can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud or as SaaS, depending on institutional requirements.

Barb Morgan, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Temenos, stated: “We are delighted to receive global recognition as the best core banking system, both internationally and in the United States. This award highlights our dedication to co-innovation with clients and partners, which continues to shape the future landscape of banking. With advanced functionality and exceptional flexibility, Temenos Core is enabling banks around the world to modernise at pace, streamline operations and deliver improved customer experiences.”

Temenos invests around 20% of its annual revenues into research and development, thereby enhancing its single-core capabilities across on-premise, cloud and SaaS deployments. This approach ensures that all clients benefit equally from the company’s continuous innovations, regardless of their chosen deployment model. Among its notable releases this year are the Gen AI Copilot—designed to help financial institutions develop, launch, test and refine financial products more efficiently—and the FCM AI Agent, which helps banks significantly reduce false positives during sanctions screening.

In addition to the Banking Tech Awards recognition, Temenos has earned several accolades throughout 2025. These include being named the best-selling core banking provider for the 20th consecutive year in the IBS Intelligence Sales League Table 2025, receiving the Best Core Banking Solution award from Euromoney, and being listed among CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies.
