United Commercial Bank (UCB) has introduced a specialised, women-focused banking initiative, “AIMA”, aimed at enhancing financial empowerment and self-reliance among women across Bangladesh. The programme enables female clients to access loans for car purchases, home construction or renovation, business expansion, personal expenses, and other approved purposes. The scheme allows loans of up to BDT 50 million, reflecting UCB’s commitment to supporting women in multiple financial spheres.
Under the AIMA Car Loan programme, women can borrow up to BDT 400,000 or 50% of the vehicle’s value, whichever is lower. Repayment terms extend up to five years. Applicants must be registered under the AIMA service to qualify.

UCB has launched AIMA Dipti Loan to support women entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses. The loan structures are as follows:

Through the AIMA Housing and Personal Loans, women can access:
Housing Loans: Up to BDT 20 million with a maximum repayment period of 25 years
Personal Loans: Up to BDT 2 million, fully unsecured

AIMA clients are eligible for MasterCard Classic, Visa Classic, and Visa Signature cards. Benefits include rewards on shopping and travel, instalment payment options, restaurant discounts, and loyalty points.
