In the past 24 hours, five people have died from dengue across the country. During the same period, 792 dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals.
This information was released on Saturday (15 November) in a press statement by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
According to the statement, among the patients admitted in the past 24 hours, 125 are from Barishal Division, 136 from Chattogram Division, 107 from Dhaka Division, 226 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 121 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 15 from Khulna Division, 60 from Mymensingh Division, and 2 from Sylhet Division.
In the past 24 hours, 783 patients have been discharged from hospitals. So far this year, 80,243 dengue patients have been discharged.
Up to 15 November 2024, a total of 83,858 people have been infected with dengue, of which 62.4 percent are male and 37.6 percent are female.
In the past 24 hours, five more people have died from dengue, all from Dhaka North City Corporation. So far this year, 331 people have died due to dengue.
From 1 January to 31 December 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue and 575 died. From 1 January to 31 December 2023, 1,705 people died from dengue, and 321,179 were admitted to hospitals.
