Brazil and Croatia are poised to face off in a thrilling encounter at the Camping World Stadium in Florida tomorrow, Wednesday, at 06:00 Bangladesh Standard Time. Their last meeting, during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ended in a 1–1 draw at the Education City Stadium. Since that clash 1,208 days ago, both teams have evolved considerably.
No goal scorers from the previous match feature in tomorrow’s line-ups. Neymar, absent from the national squad since October 2023, is gradually regaining match fitness following a knee injury. Croatia has seen the departure of Bruno Petković, now playing in the Turkish Süper Lig with Kocaelispor.
Brazil takes the field in a reshaped form under new leadership. Carlo Ancelotti, the Seleção’s fourth coach since Qatar 2022, now manages the team. From the Doha starting eleven, only Marquinhos, Danilo, Casemiro, and Vinícius Júnior remain active. Bench regulars such as Bremer, Ederson, Fabinho, and Gabriel Martinelli continue to feature, but injuries have sidelined Alisson, Alex Sandro, Éder Militão, Raphinha, and Bruno Guimarães.
Croatia, by contrast, retains remarkable continuity under Zlatko Dalić. Despite the absence of key players such as Gi̇vardiol and Kovačić, 13 veterans from the Qatar World Cup remain. Goalkeeper Dominik Livaković, aged 40, who famously denied Brazil in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final penalty shootout, continues to excel for AC Milan. Other stalwarts such as Modrić, Stanisić, Vlašić, Perišić, Kramarić, and Budimir form a seasoned core.
Croatia endured a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign, exiting at the group stage, but rebounded in World Cup qualifying, topping their group unbeaten in eight games. In the UEFA Nations League, they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by France after a penalty shootout. Their most recent match saw a 2–1 victory over Colombia, setting up an experienced squad to challenge Brazil.
Brazil, ranked fifth in the FIFA World Rankings, seeks to avenge their World Cup exit and will test their youthful energy against Croatia’s experience.
| Team | Last Meeting (Score) | Returning Players | Absent Players | Coach |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Croatia | 2022 WC (1–1) | Livaković, Modrić, Stanisić, Vlašić, Perišić, Kramarić, Budimir, Jakić, Ćorić | Gi̇vardiol, Kovačić | Zlatko Dalić |
Historically, Brazil has had the upper hand in head-to-head encounters: three wins, one loss, and two draws in six matches. While Croatia offers cohesion, experience, and tactical stability, Brazil brings youthful dynamism and attacking flair, promising an electrifying contest on Floridian soil.
