Sudanese paramilitary fighters have killed at least 14 civilians attempting to escape a besieged city in Darfur, according to a human rights organisation on Monday, more than 27 months into the ongoing conflict between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese army.
The Emergency Lawyers, an organisation documenting atrocities in the war, reported that the paramilitary attack took place on Saturday on the outskirts of El-Fasher city, located in the western Darfur region.
