DHAKA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) today commemorated Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day with the utmost respect, honoring the language heroes who sacrificed for the nation.
In observance of the day, a delegation led by BUP Treasurer, Air Commodore Md Reza Emdad Khan, paid tribute to the martyrs by laying floral wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar.
The national flag was flown at half-mast at the start of the day, according to an official press release.
The release highlighted that on this day in 1952, the valiant sons of the soil made the ultimate sacrifice to establish Bangla as the mother language.
Following the Jummah prayer, a special dua was offered for the eternal peace of the martyrs, with the participation of senior officials, teachers, and staff of BUP.
