Filipina music executive Roslyn Pineda has been appointed president of Sony Music Publishing Asia, succeeding Carol Ng, who will retire at the end of March 2026 after a distinguished tenure. Pineda, previously the general manager of Sony Music Philippines, will now oversee both creative and business operations across the label’s Asian territories, while also expanding global support for songwriters in the region. She will be based in Hong Kong.
Prior to this appointment, Pineda served as vice president of artist relations and business development for the Asian branch of Sony Music Publishing. With over two decades of experience in the music industry, she brings extensive knowledge of artist development, creative strategy, and international collaborations.
Expressing her excitement, Pineda said:

I look forward to collaborating with our talented team and working closely with Guy Henderson and Jon Platt to empower our songwriters across Asia. Guy Henderson, president of Sony Music Publishing International, praised Pineda’s appointment, highlighting her experience and vision for the region:

With Ros’s success in the artist development and creative space, she brings a new focus to the region to further expand our business into the future.”
Fondly known as “Mama Sony” among Filipino fans, Pineda was instrumental in revitalising Sony Music’s Philippine operations. During her tenure, she oversaw the signing of prominent acts such as SB19, Ben&Ben, and IV of Spades, while maintaining an active presence in both media and social channels to support her artists. She frequently attends launches, press conferences, and showcases, ensuring the label’s creative initiatives receive strong representation.
Her influence extends beyond Asia, having worked with international stars including John Mayer, Leehom Wang, Jessi, F4, Sekai No Owari, Ricky Martin, Alicia Keys, and One Direction, highlighting her global reach and experience.
