Pop superstar Justin Bieber found himself in another tense confrontation with photographers during a recent date night in Los Angeles with his wife, Hailey Bieber.
The 32-year-old singer reportedly lost his temper on Friday, 6 March, after leaving a late dinner at Sushi Park in West Hollywood. According to video footage obtained by TMZ, Bieber and Hailey were approached by a swarm of paparazzi in a dimly lit parking garage. Clearly frustrated, Bieber shielded his face as he made his way to a waiting black SUV. Moments later, he threw a half-empty bottle of Fiji water in the direction of the photographers. Fortunately, the bottle did not strike anyone, instead tumbling harmlessly to the ground, after which the couple quickly drove away.
This latest incident is part of a long-running tension between Bieber and the paparazzi. Over the years, the Canadian singer has openly expressed his frustrations with intrusive photographers, dating back to his meteoric rise at age 15.
| Date | Incident | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 2014 | Ferrari Rear-End | Bieber’s Ferrari was rear-ended by a photographer pursuing him. Bieber urged stricter laws on paparazzi. |
| April 2025 | Instagram Post | Shared video showing intrusive flashes and photographers blocking his path; criticised “darkness” in L.A. paparazzi culture. |
| Summer 2025 | Album Promotion | Viral moment during “Swag” album release: Bieber confronted paparazzi with the now-famous line, “It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business, is it?” |

Bieber has repeatedly highlighted the personal and professional toll of being constantly hounded by cameras. In April 2025, he posted an Instagram video highlighting the dangers and stress of paparazzi encounters, describing the bright flashes and crowded paths he must navigate whenever stepping outside.
“This behaviour is not just annoying—it can be dangerous,” Bieber said at the time. He has frequently called for stronger legal protections for celebrities, citing the fatal paparazzi-related accident that claimed Princess Diana as a cautionary example.
Despite his immense fame and success—including seven studio albums and multiple Grammy Awards—Bieber continues to struggle with the persistent scrutiny that comes with life in the public eye. This latest confrontation serves as yet another reminder of the pressures modern celebrities face in an era dominated by social media and relentless paparazzi attention.
